Library Assistant II – Youth Services
Part-Time: 24 hours/week.
Typical weekly schedule may include daytime, evening and weekend hours.
Starting Pay: $9.00/hour. Benefits package partially paid by Library.
The Youth Services Library Assistant II performs a variety of routine tasks under direct supervision of the Youth Services Librarian, Circulation Managers and the Library Director. Typical duties include, but are not limited to: Collection development, planning & presenting youth programs, assisting patrons in finding library materials, searching the online catalog creating displays and promotional materials, operating audio visual equipment and basic office equipment. Library Assistants also provide service at the Circulation desk including checking in and out materials and issuing new patron cards.
Candidates may be asked to present a short story-time.
